Responsibility for hiring (and firing) staff and helping to create a positive environment for both staff and students (about 150 sorority girls). Plenty of vacations and free time. It can sometimes feel as though you are a puppet queen. The small governing body (volunteer) is run by a volunteer alumna who makes decisions about and has access to Sorority House funds. This can lead to unaccounted-for expenses. It can also lead to an innocent party - who is nominally in charge - being unfairly accused of mismanagement.
