Pros

At first, exposure to complex projects, in-depth strategic approaches, smart clients and challenging work. When things are going well, produces solid results and you can be proud of your work there. The flexibility to work from home a few days a week is a huge plus.

Cons

Extreme favoritism, clique-ish, like "mean girls" only older. Inside buddies get everything, everyone else is spied on by them and paid less, given less benefits, etc (you are not allowed to discuss, but truth wins out). If you are not among the anointed few, you are screwed, basically. Smart people but cannot manage others, have no clue about what inspires, and is great at killing morale. Should be great place to be, but extremely volatile personalities make it unpredictable and unnecessarily stressful.

Pros

Learned a lot about PR. Great group of people to work with.

Cons

Like all jobs the hours worked can be many. But worth the effort.

Pros

Working in the famous Hancock building and earning overtime pay. Let's be honest. You earn more than thick skin working here. You earn a suit of armor. But the good news is that you'll never need your suit of armor again if you get out. Other workplaces aren't like this. At all. Trust. Pay attention to the boss' crazy antics and you can really learn something about how to manage multiple personalities (ha). Bottom line: You can either get out and be a rockstar at your next job (big pro), or continue to complain and be a puppet of ComBlu's senior management (one person).

Cons

Toxic environment, unpredictable personalities, gossipy/cliquey family members (majority of the company), under-utilized talent, overbearing senior management & its scared underdogs, and just inappropriate behavior on so many levels (yes your arm will be slapped if you don't understand direction immediately - literally). But the saddest part about this company is that there's an abundance of talent, yet no one there to appreciate it. The talented people complain daily/hourly about the horrible treatment - yet do nothing to fix it - which results in an endless, vicious cycle of harassment and abuse. This is not a fun place to go to every day! The stress and sadness on people's faces is so evident. The fact that people have survived for 15+ years is NOT a pro. Too much time is wasted on internal tasks that hardly hardly even matter. And meetings aren't actually meetings - they're just the boss talking/yelling at you.
