Pros

While this company is doing some really great things in the transportation industry, there are some major issues internally. You have access to a vehicle while working, and they seem to be moving in a better direction with Diversity and Inclusion things, and are slowly bringing the 30+ year old company up to the 21st century. On the whole, the pros of working here are minimal, other than knowing that what you are doing is helping other people and is environmentally friendly. There are many amazing people who work there, but are clouded by horrible upper management and the executive team.

Cons

I truly believe that the company is having some horrible growing pains, and with no real intention to change. The CEO is disconnected from most manager's and there was no clear hierarchy of who to talk to or who was the boss. Communication within the organization is very poor, big decisions are made without upper management present and big changes are always thrown together last minute. As a manager, I was either micro-managed or totally left alone, and when asked for assistance with problem solving, I was left on read and responded days or weeks later and then got in trouble for how situations were resolved. At a yearly review, I pitched that I felt as though I deserved a bigger raise and explained why. Received a reply 1 month later, I received a gaslighting email saying I needed more "rigour" while my Edmonton colleague in the same position was paid more than I, when we were hired at the same time and did the same job. There are a few staff members who are truly bullies and have been there long enough that they will take no responsibility for their actions or behaviour. There is a general protection of certain team member's and HR will listen to your issue about said problematic people, but will never take action to help address issues. Overall, if you do not speak French or work in their Montreal offices, you will always be on the outs. I will say that considering they had 3 price increases in the last year, the business model is failing, and I hope it crashes and burns.

Pros

Schedule flexibility. Gives you plenty of days off and can trade schedule with team members frequently.

Cons

The company used to be amazing and had such a great team. Then it bought a partner in 2024 who was failing and had decided to let them manage the company for some reason. Since then, most of the HR staff resigned or were let go and have been replaced by the other company's staff. A third of the IT team was fired, including directors. Everyone else was changed jobs to be removed from managerial positions unless they're from the 2nd company. Since then, there's no direction, no documentation, no structure, it's all just corporate talk and no plan of action or tasks. The teams are struggling more and more, the company is in a big financial crisis and the quality of the product keeps worsening. The entire workforce is under huge pressure with less pay and benefits and the work culture has shifted and no team work or help is available since management rewards individuality and ratting on each other. People "they like" gets rewarded and it's all about who's already friends with the boss while everyone else has to fix issues that haven't been reported yet with no instructions or information. No communication between teams, between direction and the staff, no transparency. The EARTH values they used to have are no more.
