Pros
Beautiful office space, good work from home program, a lot of revenue from certifications, huge potential in this industry if we had competent leadership, most of the rank and file staff are awesome people
Cons
The executives are a clique that place blame on other people to coverup their own mistakes and take credit when they didn't have anything to do with a success. The CEO is the ringleader of this behavior. He is only a CEO in title. His behavior is that of a petulant child with money. He has created a divisive, backstabbing culture. How does he sweep so many major mistakes that cost us so much money and time under the rug? Doesn't the board or someone review and judge all of the failures. With the money the certification program makes, we could do so much more for our members if we didn't squander it all. Never tell HR anything negative about anyone above you. She will run right to the CEO and you'll be blacklisted and probably fired. Most of the other executives are "yes" people. If you agree on something with your boss and the CEO disagrees, your boss will throw you under the bus for having a stupid idea. Growth is limited to people inside the CEO's inner circle. It doesn't matter how well you do your job, you will generally get a standard raise and maybe a meaningless new title. This might be a pro or a con depending on where you live, but I'm putting it as a con because Downers Grove is a far western suburb and not super easy to get to.
