Pros
Bruker Nano used to be known as Hysitron Inc. In general, it was a great place to work for with passionate people who loved to be challenged with some complex tasks and be able to come up with some unique out-of-the-box ideas. I loved my job Hysitron until it was officially acquired by Bruker on January 23rd, 2017. The accusation was followed by substantial revenue increase while Hysitron lost completely its identity as an organization and therefore it was no longer considered as one of the most inventive nano-mechanical companies in the world. All the Bruker management wants to accomplish is to multiply its revenue while there is very little or no room at all in their principles to advocate for inventive employees, their new ideas and creative thinking. Consequently, it is all about revenue and employees are just nameless corporate numbers on the company payroll list.
Cons
Essentially, after accusation by Bruker, Hysitron was transformed into a spineless, money hungry, profit driven machine where creativity and dedication did not matter anymore. Yet, I have witnessed many cases of employees’ neglect, hostile work environment, many types of harassment, retaliatory conduct, political discrimination and improper treatment of the employee that was motivated by his/her ethnicity and their country of origin. As a foreigner, I was exposed constantly to the double standard conduct exercised by Bruker Nano management and its senior management members. Eventually, after 35 years of ultra creative work and countless international patents and all the great accomplishment, I was disposed of by Bruker as a bag of trash. You need to ask yourself some serious questions whether Bruker Nano located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota is the place or you should look for different place with decent work ethics and good moral compass.
