Pros

Great kids and people to work this, admin is receptive.

Cons

Pay is ridiculous. You do not get summer hours. It is paid hourly so there would be days you only work 3 hours a day.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for the work you do with our students in Brooklyn. It’s encouraging to hear that the relationships with students, colleagues, and campus leadership have been such a positive part of your experience. The connections built between teachers, students, and administrators are a big part of what makes our community special. At the same time, I appreciate your honest feedback regarding compensation, summer hours, and schedule consistency. We understand that meaningful work also needs to be financially sustainable, and concerns about hourly fluctuations and limited opportunities during certain times of the year are important to hear. Your comments reflect challenges that many educators thoughtfully raise, and feedback like yours helps inform ongoing conversations about how we can better support and retain talented teachers. Thank you again for your candor and for the care you bring to your students each day. We’re grateful for your contributions and for sharing your perspective on both the strengths of the role and the areas where we have opportunities to improve.

Pros

Work culture, amazing parents and students, opportunities for growth, location. Close to I95 and the Tri-rail station

Cons

The pay could be better considering the cost of living, tuition cost, and location. I also would love to see more funds invested into the Homework Cafe.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for the commitment you've shown over the past several years. It’s wonderful to hear that the culture, relationships with students and families, and opportunities for growth have made your time at Fusion meaningful. Team members like you help create the supportive, student-centered environment that is so important to our mission. I also appreciate your thoughtful feedback regarding compensation and resources for the Homework Cafe. We understand that cost-of-living considerations and the resources available to support students are important factors in the employee and student experience. Your perspective helps us better understand where investments can have the greatest impact, both for our educators and the students who rely on these programs. Thank you again for your honesty and for all that you do to support our students each day. We’re grateful for your contributions and for the care you bring to the Fusion community.

Pros

- unionized campuses in New York City - one-to-one education way easier to handle than a classroom - 4 day workweek, or 5 days if you want

Cons

- structure incentivizes lowering academic rigor - school resources/materials lackluster (though improved since I joined) - lack of consequences for students - hard to get hours at certain campuses/times of year
