Pros

None, free black coffee only

Cons

Finance HK counterpart tends to present well initially, with problematic behaviors emerging only after several months (true color) Management culture is toxic and highly unprofessional. Communication is poor, and explanations are often misunderstood or dismissed, even when clearly expressed in English. Leadership operates with a “we are always right” mentality, leaving no room for discussion or clarification. There is excessive nitpicking and micromanagement, with minor issues blown out of proportion. Worse, management tends to twist employees’ words and use them against both individuals and the team, creating unnecessary conflict. This behavior appears intentional, fostering tension and encouraging internal disputes rather than collaboration. I am the 10th Finance Manager in this role, which strongly reflects the lack of stability, support, and effective leadership within the organization. Overall, the environment is stressful, confrontational, and unsupportive, making it difficult for employees to work effectively or feel respected.

Pros

- Clients are understanding of the company environment.

Cons

Basically you start as a client service executive. You perform tasks that were not mentioned in the interview. Such as cleaning microwave, fridge, coffee machine, offices desks, and dishes after clients sometimes. You do the whole process - check-in / out, handling email, calls for clients, mails, preparing meeting rooms, and doing tours for new prospects, handling communication with vendors & building management. And you also lead small projects. You also move furniture around when necessary which is very heavy. You handle all the complaints & payments. There is a manager that checks if you do everything correctly instead of actually helping you with all of these tasks. Promotions do not make sense. The pay managers get is very similar to yours, so it is not worthy to wait years for promotion. This job is extremely underpaid for all the responsibilities.
