Where do I even start? The call center was not really a call center, it was a tiny room filled with older ladies who are extremely rude and mean to each other. I was trained by a lady named "Marlene" (alias), she was extremely unprofessional. When I didn't understand things she would get mad and sometimes bully me for the way I talked. I am very shy and sometimes can't articulate myself correctly, especially under pressure. There was another lady there who on the other hand was VERY nice to me and "Marlene" hated her, she talked about her behind her back and said horrible HORRIBLE things about her. Everytime I came to work I felt like crying as I was pulling up thinking "I don't deserve to be here". The call center DRAMA was probably the worst I have ever seen in my life. The owner is a micro-managing woman who has obvious favorites. She is very demanding, doesnt know how to talk to people without sounding condescending and if you ever make a minor mistake she holds it against you. The day I decided I was quitting was when she pulled me aside to teach me EMPATHY. EMPATHY PEOPLE!!!!! I made one small mistake while I was still fairly new and she pulled me aside to teach me empathy. "Imagine if you had a daughter....and you ordered her cookies....." Seriously, I mean I have no idea what is wrong with these people but I now know all the red flags to watch out for. I quit to pursue my actual career and the owner seemed a little bitter about it but accepted it since it was my "passion" *as she rolled her eyes..... No. I just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. But working in such terrible conditions made me rethink my entire life. Also I once was on my phone (as all the call center ladies do), when I had no calls because I got a text message. I thought this was okay only to find out a younger girl I worked with ratted me out. Then everyone, EVERYONE was mad at me. Extremely immature and horrible HORRIBLE place to work.
