Constant turnover and frequent departures make it difficult to maintain any momentum or feel secure in your role. Individuals with legacy knowledge are leaving and new joiners are slow to pick things up. The product roadmap is disjointed; there’s a lack of meaningful integration between offerings, and features are often left half-finished once they’ve served their purpose for a sales demo. There is a significant gap between what Sales promises and what the product can actually do, which puts unnecessary pressure on the teams left to manage customer disappointment. A lack of consistent strategic direction leads to a "firefighting" culture where everyone is constantly scrambling. Salary is only increased in line with cost of living (and often the increase is slightly below it) unless you’re being promoted.
