Pros

CreativeLive has an amazing mission. Who can't get behind free education? Just read the reviews of the courses on the site. You'll be moved. People are positively impacted by our content everyday. It's amazing to work for a place that helps people create better life's and businesses. There are some amazing people here but they are all burned out or leaving.

Cons

The culture inside CreativeLive is far from inspiring or Creative -- especially for women. Since founder Chase Jarvis became CEO moral has fallen sharply and some of the most talented employees have fled including most of the smart members of the exec team. Why? Chase Jarvis talks a big talk but has no vision. He lacks respect for his employees and he doesnt value in the role women play in his company. The company made the list of the worst places for women in Silicon Valley --- Not good for a place with a largely female audience.

Pros

CreativeLive really does a great job at empowering their employees to be successful. I love that they give me the tools to do my job, and give me full trust in my ability to execute and deliver. I also really love that I get to conceive and initiate new creative problem-solving projects on my own, and they tell me to just run with it. The challenges that we face are truly opportunities, and I am excited to see where we go. It's really a great company, and besides the (somewhat standard) growing-pains associated with a young company of this size, I feel like a valued member of an engaging and passionate team. Very cool fun, creative, and lively place to work.

Cons

As is often the case with startups, there is sometimes a sense that we are somewhat struggling to figure out our direction and plan. There is often a disconnect between departments, meaning that when one group is developing a new project, they don't consult with other teams that are inherent stakeholders (until the project is way down the line). There needs to be more avenues for facilitating collaboration and forward-thinking on certain major projects.
