Is this your company?

Completely unrealistic and costly - Area Account Manager Credit Protection Association Employee Review

Pros

There really aren't any, unless you really want a decade old laptop and second rate business cards..

Cons

Scripted sales patter. No deviation allowed. Most businesses are covered by the telephone protection system or tps meaning you can't sell to a business without having actually visited the premises. This adds a huge cost to your expenses which aren't covered at all. Even though you're told an area is virgin and hasn't been hit before you'll find that people call you tony and say "still no" overall the only winners here are the people who pay you nothing to make them money. Avoid wasting your time and money and avoid like the plague. Or should I say you'd like to avoid them like the plague,,,wouldn't you,,,,,?

I am sorry to read your review and I can see you were not at all suited to the role. As a self-employed agent you were free to use your own laptop if you preferred and were to free to provide business cards to your own liking. The laptop you were provided was sufficient to perform the tasks required of it. You were trained to use a scripted sales pitch to assist you as a new recruit to present our services in the proper way without misrepresenting the company. As you gained experience and greater understanding of our services greater leeway would have been given. Yes our calls are filtered to block cold calls to telephone numbers registered under the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) as this is the law. However it is a fact that only a minority of business numbers are on the register. I am sorry too that it was your experience that everyone you talked to already knew of us. However with business needs changing, companies moving, new companies forming every week and the average territory including around 12,000 businesses, even if your territory had recently been worked, there should have been plenty of people for you to contact. I don't understand your comment that we were the overall winners, paying you nothing to make us money. If you were not able to sell our services then both of us lost out. What money did we make? The laptop, phones, offices, training and recruitment and support all cost us money and we only receive subscriptions if you are successful. Our model is based on mutual success.

Hi, we are still very much open although we did suspend our face to face sales activity last year until we came up with a revised way of working. I think this review is for the Credit Protection Association based in the USA which is not affiliated with us.
