Pros

Only pro is India staff get treated very nicely as the rest of Cubic suffers. They get nice hire packages. Free backpacks water bottles and other gifts. Everyone else is lucky to get used equipment.

Cons

Cubic does not pay their bills which has caused everything to delay,. They are only looking for short term gain and don't care about the future. Looks like they are either going to file for bankruptcy or sell. Zero diversity in India office. Cubic has been performing quit layoffs for 18 months and will continue for at least another 12 months. Private equity has sucked the money and life out of Cubic. Benefits are terrible. Been talk about restructuring the 401K plan. Older employees are pushed out on a regular basis. They lost the knowledge of how to manage systems. Senior executives have no experience in this industry. Customers are all talking about moving to new vendors. Senior management rely on consultants which shows they lack the knowledge to run Cubic. No pay increase, no adjustment for inflation, no bonus, work long hours while on Vacation or Holiday they don't care, they use you then get rid of you. There is definitely a culture issue going on with lots of attitude coming from India.

Pros

My manager was awesome. Job was diverse and creativity was welcomed. Salary was pretty good, even if I was technically doing two types of positions. Co-workers were also good, some great, actually. Work life balance was also pretty good. All credit to that goes to my manager and the managers I've had before my last one.

Cons

In the end, my loyalty seemed to not be valued. My hard work showed and I met deadlines before the due date. Only called in sick when actually sick, and hardly took time off. The thing that bothered me the most was the way they laid me off. Group Teams video meeting, but the person giving us the news was not on video. Just a black screen, telling you that was your last day and that after that meeting your access will be cut off. And it was. I almost felt like an email would've been better than that black screen. That is really the only time I felt bad about the way things went. I know corporate life brings in the usual fiscal year layoffs, but it just felt wrong the way it was done, in my opinion.
