There's potential for a great company, but not sure if they can grab it. - Anonymous employee CyberPoint International Employee Review

Pros

CyberPoint provides good pay and benefits. Most people in the company are technically competent and enjoyable to work with, but there are a few bad apples. There are definitely some world-class experts working at the company with very bright minds. Some of the projects are technically very challenging and rewarding. Small teams where individual contributions can have a real impact. Cool location in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.

Cons

If you're not in the "inner circle", you're not going anywhere in the company and your voice is not going to be heard. Upper management tends to flail, lack focus, change direction frequently, and put people in charge that have no business being in charge. It's more who you know rather than what you can do. Upper management says they are listening, but it's more the case they are just hearing what they're being told rather than understanding what's being said. Single employees who can go on remote assignment at the drop of a hat are more likely to be valued than employees that have families and are looking for a good work/life balance. Lastly, branding is important, but the zealousness of the branding effort at CyberPoint hides a lack of depth in some knowledge areas.

Pros

This company is the best you can find in the area in terms of a fun culture, interesting work, and wonderful people. They also have great benefits and compensation. The work is generally interesting. The company is flexible with hours to better avoid traffic or life events. I always think of CyberPoint in a good manor and never hate going to work because of anything there (just the usual traffic or really comfy bed.) Everyone is approachable, including the C level exes and owner. They are super friendly and will regularly check in which every group they can, and make sure that you are getting what you need.

Cons

This is where clearances go to die, doesn't matter what they say, yours will not be renewed unless you go overseas. A lot of upper management secrecy while they try to figure things out, it is not uncommon to go months without an explanation of the company's direction (or never). Upper management buddy system, expect to see them with their friends and families working at the company, don't expect to be able to pull yours in (and don't expect the rare incompetent upper manager to ever be asked to leave).
