Pros

Between artists and I would say to project coordinators everyone is very transparent and communicative. The team understands each other well and everyone is very friendly. You get to work on big projects. Supervisors are very helpful and understanding.

Cons

I have to say this applies to Double Negative Singapore only. Management and HR are horrible. Constantly lying. They changed our yearly review to only HR and Manager. Both of which know nothing about your performance and difficulties you tackle during work. Our Supervisors even brought this up several times and tried to defend their artists and asked why this system was made like this. But only received dodgy replies or silence. This happened to me as well, I was informed that I had bad performance, I was slowing down on work. When I asked how they came to that conclusion they said they said it was from comments from my supervisors and leads. Which Immediately I knew was a lie because I work very closely with them and if they had anything there were unsatisfied with me about they would approach me first but none of that sort happened. After that I approached my supervisors and leads and they were shocked to hear this and they said they never said any of those. The company basically doesn't want to raise our salaries and make up reviews. Which was why they removed the supervisors from the review process entirely. Several people had the same experience of mention of slowing down. Even those with positive reviews had basically the lowest raises I ever heard of 3.33%? Management just shoves you to whatever department they want you to be regardless of your specialties or position. They smokescreen this as a temporary measurement to assist other departments but you end up staying there for years and have your salary adjusted(lowered) to that role. And basically keep quiet about it. Coming to junior artists almost weekly with promises of allowing junior artists to try on other roles in other departments or advancement to spur on their morale and enthusiasm. But the only thing that actually happened was they hired a overpaid trainer to do basically nothing for a few mths (He literally just walked around talking). Only to have the entire thing cancelled without even informing the artists. And when some of the artists approached managers about what happened to this program. They were treated with annoyance like as if they had no right to ask in the first place. End of story they basically came to Singapore to make use of the government funding. Consumed it and left the country
