Pros

Pay was okay at the expense of your mental health. Can technically move up job levels and become part of the secret club that critiques and undermines the people working under you. CTO is aware of technology advancements.

Cons

Hostile work environment, in-office “remote” politics, no actual business leaders or analysts on the tech side meaning developer will wear all hats. Multiple projects that start and have no actual end goals, leaving the project to get shelved. On call rotation is a disaster. Nobody actually knows how the horizontal integrations fit together into one product . Useless and mandatory daily morning meeting where people talk about the weather and waste your time. Legacy code base is the worst I’ve ever seen and it is career suicide to spend anytime trying to add to it. Company is cash strapped as they don’t hire nearly the amount of people they need to accomplish the tasks they set out.

Pros

+Work from home +Some great team members +Ok salary

Cons

-Incompetent management and leadership. Managers ask every week what the team's updates are, as if we don't have meetings every morning. -Leadership is looking for someone to blame when things don't work. -Work instructions are vague. Leadership just says "figure it out". Team tries to figure it out, then hears no feedback from leadership until it's close to the deadline.
