Pros

This is a great way to learn the ropes and enter into the world of pharmaceuticals, clinical trials, healthcare, academia, and other lucrative growth industries. This is a family company as such, the bottom line is not the only priority. This is a rare and positive thing for the most part, even as a salesperson. Building experience here is invaluable and it seems they will take a chance on people. I was probably one of those chances and it turned out very well. Inbound leads No cold calling is required, but you get more commission for it Freezerworks is a well-known brand in the space They are not looking to be acquired or IPO It's a stable company that has been steadily growing for many years

Cons

Because it's a stable, organically growing company not looking to be acquired or IPO, growth isn't explosive. The commission structure was reworked a few times during my time there, though it usually ended up in my favor in spite of my skepticism.

Pros

Dataworks Development is one of the first places I worked and it was a great experience. I spent nearly six years there learning about data/sample management applications in the biotech and research fields. The culture suited my personality and I was sad to leave when the time came. Small company that knows its customers needs and always seeks to put them first. As an employee I felt I had opportunities to grow professionally and because the company was small and nimble it afforded some more flexibility in work-life balance I haven’t found at larger companies since leaving. Pros -Relaxed and fun culture -Challenging work - Leadership is very understanding and empathetic to their employees needs - Opportunities to grow (option to cross-train in different departments if desired)

Cons

Working for a small company it can be unstructured and lack some of the safety-net benefits provided by a bigger company. It’s more or less up to the person if pros outweigh the cons of the type of company and culture you’re looking for or vice versa.

Pros

Generous employee perks for most

Cons

Nobody works, nepotism, favoritism, constant drama, narcissism, incompetence, family and friends paid well but not regular employees.
