Pros
There have been some significant changes in the last 8+ months that have improved the overall feel and culture of the company which I think comes with the fact that it's growing and requires more structure: there is a digital office for collaboration but camera is not required outside of meetings, there's more flexibility in terms of the schedule and PTO, and overall it feels the leadership is focused on introducing changes based on team's feedback. There is also a strong focus on having full-time team members with a lot more stability and building a global work environment. Main pros for me after 1+ year here: - It's fully remote, and you get to work with people all over the world. - Very strong, collaborative team, you can see the creativity flowing even if you are not part of the creative team. - Start-up environment with a lot of opportunities to learn - you can take ownership and build things from scratch. - Transparent compensation model.
Cons
It's definitely a start-up environment, so it might not be the best for those who prefer highly structured environments. You get support from the manager, but there is no time for handholding (not a con for me, but might be for some people, so it's worth mentioning). As the company continues to scale, processes change, and not everything is established yet, which can make the day2day a little less smooth sometimes. I feel there could also be a larger investment in various tools that can help team members move faster.
