Pros
Flexible working hours (relative to industry, but not totally flex). Culture of collaboration and personal support. Opportunities for skills, knowledge, and responsibility growth. Lots of people stay around for a long time (5+ years or more).
Cons
Compensation tied exclusively to title, not responsibilities-- negotiate up front!-- only entertain increases once per year (same time for all employees). Reliant on employees to care about working in International Development industry (lower pay compared to tech) while billing the government for tech company rates and expertise.
