Pros
- Docker hires some really fantastic people. My colleagues (from sales to engineering) are not only smart, but collaborative and overall awesome human beings. Even though I've not met many of them in person, I've made some really great friends here. - Whaleness Days guarantees you a Monday/Friday off every month.
Cons
- There's been a wave of firings across teams (e.g., product, marketing, etc.) You can be celebrated by the company for your contributions one month, but suddenly fired for no reason the next. Leadership has been mum about it and has shown no remorse/empathy. To many people, it's been a complete shock and now the company feels unstable. We have no idea where this is going. BUT this may as well be business as usual for an early stage startup. If you're looking for stability, this is not it. - Renewals season is upon us, and it's uncertain if customers get enough value from their enterprise licenses.
