Pros

Paid on time, nice offices in prime location, popular programs, nice staff who are below management, career progression and option to wfh.

Cons

In 18 years in the industry I have worked with some terrible managers. I thought I’d seen it all, until I joined Envy. Bookings, MCR, runners make mistakes, formal meeting with notes taken; Producers, managers make mistakes, send a polite email asking them to fix, manager storms the room and screams ‘don’t send those emails!!’ Think they are too senior to be criticised, They accuse you of making a mistake, turns out to be their’s, pale face and decide not to progress the issue any further. Don’t want ‘their’ mistakes on record. Seasoned op comes in and sees them struggling, points them in the right direction, manager screams ‘don’t interfere!’ Online editors and audio mixers scream at MCR about mistakes, never admit to their own. Report this to HR and falls on deaf ears. They only get punished when the client snaps.
