Pros

I so fundamentally agree with the mission and the people at FE, so this review will carry that bias. I love the original vision the company had, to provide the retirement help that people deserve. I think that mission rings through the halls of the company but the company had been challenged to deliver on the vision. Culture, quality, technology and leadership needs to change in order to make that possible. Chung is probably the best thing to happen to the company in years. Most of the people are awesome Love the vision for the company Great space in Sunnyvale People care and it is an open and honest environment. Advisor center and their operation is outstanding. Such a key part of the companies success and their future. Open culture of sharing and straight talking. Culture of personal accountability

Cons

The culture is dying. The strategy is good but without a culture to execute, then the strategy is worthless Quality across the org is poor and the teams spend more time fixing customer problems than creating great customer experiences. Brand is non-existent. The company’s future is dependent on the team’s ability to create and foster a strong brand (employee retention, employee acquisition, customer acquisition)

Pros

Pros Edelman provides strong exposure to retirement planning conversations and a fast-paced environment that builds customer service and communication skills quickly. The training and structure help you learn processes, systems, and compliance expectations. You get repetition with real client scenarios, and some teammates are genuinely supportive and knowledgeable.

Cons

The job can feel like a constant sprint. Metrics and monitoring often outweigh judgment and quality, and performance management can feel punitive rather than developmental. Leadership quality varies widely; the experience can depend heavily on your direct manager. Turnover and burnout felt common in the teams I observed.
