If you are an Infosys employee and get secondment at edgeverve systems, this is the worst nightmare for you. You will not get any Infosys related benefits, neither will you get the higher salary that Edgeverve employees get paid. The situation will frustrate you every single day. You will be working on technologies internal to Infosys which have 0 value outside Infosys or Edgeverve. So if you are looking to gain any valuable knowledge by working here, you can gain nothing but politics. The senior management is good for nothing and filled up with incompetent people. They got very good clients once, but senior management's revenue policy got messed up so big that the entire management keeps on changing every year. Bad and copy paste product - if you are working in automation, you'll work on AssistEdge, a product that is almost a copy paste of the leading RPA tool in the market. They gain big clients using infosys' trust and when this copy paste product fails to deliver, they lose millions. Forget about hike - Being unable to generate revenues, the employees of this unit get the least hike irrespective of the fact that they work hard. While other employees at Infosys will get 8 to 20 percent hikes, you will get a mere 3 percent which is even less than annual inflation in India. Bad HR policies - If you are frustrated and want to change your project, forget it. Infosys has its own Internal job rotation policy but if you are posted at edgeverve after secondment they won't allow you to go to an Infosys project. Leaving the job will be your only way out.
