Pros

EdgeWave is a stable and growing cybersecurity company with a strong product roadmap and clear business strategy. The employees are motivated to achieve great things and exhibit both professional and personal respect for each other. Truly a team effort where everyone's expertise is welcome. The corporate office is in a highly sought after location in the heart of "high-tech" San Diego and the benefits mirror many other high tech companies. There appears to be room for advancement for anyone who has a desire to work hard.

Cons

Working for multiple employers in my professional career, I have seen good and bad but can't seem to find anything negative to say about EdgeWave at this time other than the 805 freeway traffic that adds 15 minutes extra to my daily commute -- but we can blame Caltrans for that.

Pros

Worked with some really great people, who unfortunately have the same outlook. This caused a lot of negative (and hilarious) "water cooler" talk.

Cons

EdgeWave has been, and most likely always will be the laughing stock of the cybersecurity industry. Email solution is OK, but still gets beaten out in deals by competitors that actually take part in the Gartner Magic Quadrant. Web security solution is 20 years behind. You're better off having nothing in place. It can't even stop a 5th grader from going to a porn site. The Huawaii firewall... well, it's a Chinese firewall. This is the United States, and China is one of our biggest adversaries when it comes to cyber warfare. When you are trying to sell a Chinese firewall to a company in the US, how do you think that deal is going to play out? Oh yeah, and I think they fired the only person that knows how to install them.
