Pros

The four day work week

Cons

Petty, dishonest leadership with no regard for legitimate employee concerns. Even though they provided employee satisfaction surveys in the past, no changes came from them, and issues are dismissed. Things are done and redone because there is no direction or assistance from leadership, and some of leadership is not equipped to direct the departments and work is heavily micromanaged. Their focus is haphazardly launching in new areas for the sake of saying something was accomplished rather than obtaining accurate viewer numbers. Student numbers are over-inflated. Many ideas brought to leadership are shot down only to be presented later as someone else's idea. Also, there is no HR department even though they claim to have one, and employees are mysteriously fired or quit at high rates.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m so glad to hear you enjoy our 4-day work week. You are right in that we provide satisfaction surveys filled out anonymously to encourage employees to be honest and open. We take feedback very seriously and do our best to implement action items based on it. Our staff comprises people from all walks of life and needs, and as much as we’d love to please everyone, we can’t, but we do our best within our abilities. Our employee retention rate is high. Today, out of our 13 current employees, six started as part-time Field Educators, moving up to management and director positions over the years. Another two started as interns, became employees, and are now managers. Lastly, many of our current contractors are former employees who chose to continue working with us when we closed down the in-person program. Our growth to other countries has been meticulous and mindful, only spending time and resources after careful consideration. Student/viewer numbers are categorically accurate and reflect what faculty and community members enter when they fill out our booking form. We can’t change those numbers. We keep meticulous records of bookings to back up our numbers, which are available to anyone who requests them. Transparency is essential to us. I’m sorry your experience with us was not a positive one. As we continue with our work, we will consider your feedback.

Pros

There are no positives to speak of.

Cons

I don't have much to add to the 1 and 2 star reviews that have already been left. I assure you the 5 star reviews are the result of coercion. The Board must hold the organization's officers accountable, and they should be investigated and removed. I also hope potential donors read these reviews and reach out to former contractors and employees before donating and enabling this wildly inept "leadership" team.
