Pros

I met some of the best coworkers, with the most genuine and kind hearts. These are people who would sacrifice a LOT for the good of the planet and all animals!

Cons

This organization is unfortunately run by people who do not care their employees. Your hard work and loyalty mean nothing, and they will exploit you in every way and shape they can. I worked here for years. I was a hard working and loyal employee who was one of the top performing educators they had. They could never seem to make space for a full time position for me. I went years without health or dental insurance. My asks for a promotion/new work were ignored time and again. When I finally walked away - the CEO and upper management said NOTHING. I gave years of my time, energy, and spirit to this organization who claims they are "ethical." Far from it. You can find anyone who has ECP as their former employment (Facebook/LinkedIn) and ask them about their experience. Not a single person will say they left on good terms. This organization started off as a beautiful collection of likeminded people, and ended up as a stinky dumpster fire. Such a horrible experience.

Thank you for your feedback. I share your sentiments about our coworkers, who are some of the best humans I’ve had the pleasure to meet. You state you worked for us for over five years as a Field Educator, so I can assume your experience in this role was satisfying enough to stay with us all those years. I’m sorry we couldn’t offer you health benefits as a part-time Field Educator. The contract states that our health benefits are provided only to full-time staff. I wish we could have, but as a non-profit, we need to be mindful of the money entrusted to us. When we closed down our in-person program and had to let go of our part-time employees, we promoted as many as we could to full-time positions, and some transitioned to contractor roles. However, our need for a much smaller workforce (13 of us) with specific skills and experience didn’t allow us to offer positions to everyone who applied, which was your case. It’s important to note that we didn’t have a bad review from our founding in 2016 until 2021 when we transitioned to a digital program. Our Field Educators were instrumental in our growth, and we will forever be grateful for all their achievements.

Pros

There are no positives to speak of.

Cons

I don't have much to add to the 1 and 2 star reviews that have already been left. I assure you the 5 star reviews are the result of coercion. The Board must hold the organization's officers accountable, and they should be investigated and removed. I also hope potential donors read these reviews and reach out to former contractors and employees before donating and enabling this wildly inept "leadership" team.
