Pros

Free lunch. Fancy chairs in the office. Good healthcare benefits. Based on recent reviews on Glassdoor, it looks like they're giving spot bonuses to employees to post something positive about the company on Glassdoor.

Cons

Toxic work environment slowly gets under your skin even when you're not at work. Major engineering issues result in constant lies to customers around the status of updates. Company constantly in crisis mode. I personally saw management lie about who the implemented customers are to: employees, interviewees, and prospective customers. If you are interviewing here and you ask, "Who are ElasticBox's customers." You'll be flat out lied to. The culture and environment at ElasticBox are so bad that even people in the Spain office have been quitting, and Spain is in the middle of an economic crisis.

Pros

A team of hardworking, talented, and dedicated people. Good product that solve real problems in the right market. Good benefit. New management team is proactive and is making a difference.

Cons

It's a startup, so it's not for those with unrealistic expectations. The engineering team is in Spain and the time difference means sometimes people have to stay up really late or get up really early to work together when there is an urgent issue.

Pros

Engineers - Some really skilled engineers that are really trying to build a good product, although many have since departed The Space - if they could get the product to work it could add some value. DevOps is an exciting area of innovation, that innovation just isn't happening at ElasticBox.

Cons

The founders seem to live in a parallel universe where it is OK to completely lie to employees and potential customers. I've never seen such a culture of fear and blame, where employees have no authority, but complete responsibility and the two founders each run the show independently and often contradict each other leaving the employee at a loss as to what to do. There have been multiple rounds of layoffs and multiple complaints filed against the CEO so morale is very low - with all the other great Devops companies out there, I would definitely recommend you look elsewhere. Don't make the same mistake I did
