Pros
There is no way to write this review without sounding cheesy. Working at Elevate offers the unparalleled opportunity to build an incredible thing with incredible people. It's hard to articulate how it feels to watch it all come together. It takes everything you've got to put on a festival that amazing, and watching it unfold, watching Twitter's reactions, and hearing that people were mesmerized is what I imagine parents feel when they watch their child do something cool. The most important aspect, though, is the people. I can't think of another setting where this many high performing, motivated, creative and caring people are put in a room together. Once you meet the team, understanding why the festival is so great becomes obvious. There isn't one person on the team I wouldn't work for.
Cons
If some people can't handle the ambiguity, novelty and crazy nature of a startup, this wouldn't be for them. Things break, data is lost, people get stressed, but that's part of the game.
