Pros

Flex Time. Cool Space. SEO Knowlege. On the river trail. The warmth/friendliness of the people is about 50/50. CEO is transparent with what is going on within the company.

Cons

Very waterfall. Collaboration is a very tricky thing. They are rooted in linguistics more than visual systems. Project Management on the production side is not interested at all in discovery or the IA/UX process. You must provide a complete package with no ambiguity to production. Once the hand-off is made, you will seldom be consulted and the PM becomes the usability expert in most cases because of time constraints. If you are consulted after hand-off, the PM has no patience to further discuss new solutions. Since the company is run by a computer scientist, what is allowed to cross over to other disciplines is highly frowned upon, so lateral problem solving is very limited and in most cases verbally discouraged. Do not expect to collaborate in the design and programming aspect of a project. You are an IA and that is it. People have been there a long time and have exploited the flex time deeply to the detriment of the margins. Make sure you only offer solutions within your domain.
