Pros
Endicia executives are great. Very open and care about the employees. Very flexible, unless employee on phone such as Sales or Tech Support, can set own hours and work remotely. Health insurance much better since Stamps merger. Some might like the stocked break room and lunch is provided every Friday. Downtown Mountain View location near Caltrain and there are many restaurants and small businesses on same block.
Cons
Stamps and Endicia culture and management styles very different. Endicia executives created a culture based on openness, working and playing hard, eccentricity, and respect for all employees. Employees were all valued. Before the Stamps acquisition, there had never been layoffs. Endicia culture is being dismantled. Stamps on the other hand, has a linear approach to getting things done. The communication is often very poor. We were told the acquisition was about growth, not cost cutting. There have since been many layoffs and many more now running towards the doors. Earlier in the year, one co-founder abruptly quit. Over the summer, the Endicia accounting department was laid off on three days notice and Endicia management never told! Those still here will leave as soon as something better comes along. The director of Marketing, a real superstar whose passion drove all at Endicia now gone. Endicia HR left earlier in the year and despite how rocky things have become Stamps very slow to fill this vacancy. With all the departures, many afraid office will be closed and those remaining will be relocated to El Segundo. Non-exempt employees have to punch a timeclock--very demeaning!!! Other companies do not do this.
