The only con I can think of is the fact that due to being a decentralized team which is spread out all over the world, team members work different hours of the day. This can cause a delay if you need to wait for another team member before you can complete a task. However, those who are good at multitasking won't find this to be much of a problem because you can work on other tasks while waiting for what you need from the other team member.
