Pros

The best thing about Equal Experts is the people. There is a high density of genuinely talented colleagues and plenty of interesting, challenging work to get stuck into.

Cons

There is a growing gap between the leadership team and the people actually doing the work. The company is already performing well, so the current push for a major structural reorganisation feels unnecessary and forced. This change hasn't been asked for by the staff, and there’s a real worry that it will damage the culture and lead to a loss of key talent. The executive vision currently feels quite detached from the day-to-day reality on the ground.

Hello, yes this is clearly a stressful time with changes across the UK, as we align closer to our customer needs. These changes can be difficult; you’re right, engagement matters and I’m sorry you’re not feeling heard. We are using our internal communication channels, particularly Slack, to answer questions from everyone. We are also discussing these changes at length at our in-person events, such as the recent UK North Alignment Day. It can also be helpful to talk to colleagues, who might have different perspectives. I hope you’ve been able to attend and found that useful, because we talked more about why this is happening. Pros

I genuinely love my job. The people here are real, kind, and truly care about one another, which shows up in the way the company is led. Leadership is approachable and casual in the best way—supportive without being overbearing. There’s also a lot of flexibility and the work itself is interesting and engaging, which makes it easy to stay motivated and feel valued. In the US, it is a smaller team which means people get to contribute in many ways to drive the business forward.

Cons

There’s a lot of autonomy, so you need to be comfortable taking ownership.

Pros

Equal Experts has been one of the best companies I have ever been a part of. The management is incredibly supportive, and everyone on the team is at a senior or principal level, which means everyone is a professional and a real expert in their field. There's no drama, and everyone is trusted. The competitive rate is big a plus.

Cons

while the remote-first nature of the company is understandable given the nature of our work, having more in-person gatherings would enhance the team dynamic. However, this year EE - North America held its first US conference, and I'm excited about the prospect of more events like this in the future.
