3yThank you for your feedback. While flexibility remains a non-negotiable aspect to our culture, it has to be earned. We have to be very efficient at working together and to sacrifice, before we can be as impactful with some kind of hybrid model. After 3 years from the pandemic start, I will be surprised if any company will truly be long term viable if they do not bring their people back together, at least till they are strong again.
It is true that many Montreal tech companies offer full remote, or hybrid roles. There are some that are also offering 4 day weeks for a 5 weeks' pay. Explorance is one of the few that is asking its people to choose to work together physically and bring back the levels of hard work, vibrance, engagement, and performance it needs in order to effectively compete and win in its markets.
To be candid, my hope in toughening our approach (and expectation) on the working-together theme is that even those that are most resentful today will eventually thank us in a few months. And I hope that you do too.
