Pros

Small company with big company capabilities: all they do is Federal Government so they are expert at selling and servicing Feds. They represent all major OEMs that Feds like. Great past performance, They have great portfolio of Federal Contracts. NIH CIO CS, SEWP V, NETCENTS II and DHS FS II and others. the company is owned by three brothers, they are very hard working and treat everyone well. They have great deal of integrity and are very honest. FedStore offers very good benefits. they cover 90% my benefits costs. I pay 1/4 of what i use to pay from my last job for benefits. They also have two great locations Reston and Rockville, nice modern offices and facilities. Fedstore compensation is very fair and generous. if you do good work you are taken care of financially. They have a great reputation with all major contract shops and do lost of work with Federal health care especially VA. The core leadership and management has been in the Federal business a long time and there is lots of experience there.

Cons

Empower management more to take the company to the next level. They need to take more risks, they are conservative at times. Some of the processes and tools need a make over, they need to automate them. They need to be more aggressive and more proactive. The company has gone through good growth so they are going through growing pains now and are adjusting.

Pros

Love interacting with the customers and manufacture reps.

Cons

If you are an innovative, successful salesperson, this would not be a place that would enable you to flourish. Ownership is very set in their ways, and they pick and choose what opportunities they are willing to put themselves at risk to pursue. They have walked away from multi-million dollar deals because it does not fit within their particular mold. They expect to gain everything yet risk nothing. In addition, a currently employed high ranking executive asks inappropriate questions during interviews and divulges co-workers personal matters with others. No set vacation, sick or PTO hours and current executive expects full disclosure of personal matters to obtain permission to take time off and be wary that information will then be used against you and broadcast across the company. Work schedule is not flexible. Good, experienced people are hired and then let go because they don't conform to their mold. Average employee tenure is less than a year!
