Pros

New Modern Facilities in both Rockville, Maryland and Northern Virginia provide a positive work environment Company provides competitive compensation packages that include extremely generous benefits Executive Leadership operates with honesty and integrity and actively promotes these values within the company - an especially welcome characteristic in a business sector that is not always known for this behavior. Great core group of employees that have been at the company for years provide the opportunity to work as part of an engaged and effective cross-functional team. Experience with IT sales into the federal market runs deep throughout the organization, from the executive leadership to leaders within the program management, services, sales and operations departments. I appreciate the fact that there is always someone there who not only has the expertise to answer any questions that might arise but will go out of their way to help. GREAT group of individuals to work with on a daily basis. The company holds several large procurement contracts (including SEWP V, CIO-CS, NETCENTS-2 and FirstSource II) and has many long-term relationships in place with OEM and vendors that enable effective selling in the federal marketplace.I believe that the combination of these procurement contracts and relationships with FedStore's experienced and dedicated workforce provides for great potential for growth in the future.

Cons

Some of the systems need updating or need to be automated to improve efficiency Lack of formal PTO program causes confusion and can result in resentments when misunderstood or inconsistently applied

Pros

Love interacting with the customers and manufacture reps.

Cons

If you are an innovative, successful salesperson, this would not be a place that would enable you to flourish. Ownership is very set in their ways, and they pick and choose what opportunities they are willing to put themselves at risk to pursue. They have walked away from multi-million dollar deals because it does not fit within their particular mold. They expect to gain everything yet risk nothing. In addition, a currently employed high ranking executive asks inappropriate questions during interviews and divulges co-workers personal matters with others. No set vacation, sick or PTO hours and current executive expects full disclosure of personal matters to obtain permission to take time off and be wary that information will then be used against you and broadcast across the company. Work schedule is not flexible. Good, experienced people are hired and then let go because they don't conform to their mold. Average employee tenure is less than a year!
