Harder Than You Think - Sales Agent Final Expense Direct Employee Review

Pros

Sales philosophy/training appears to be on the cutting edge of the latest technologies/theories. And they'll help to train you as long as you keep coming in to be trained. So, if you have deep pockets to ride out that financial hit, it can work out for you. Plus, it's a legitimate work-from-home opportunity.

Cons

To be productive in their system, you need to be a way above-average sales agent. One of their major competitors, using the same or similar quality leads, has a 7% minimum closing ratio. Their goals need you to be at 18%. I took a look at their staff from a year ago to see how many agents they had added within that year. There were none. Huge red flag I wished I had caught before I started. Had I been able to survive/learn long enough to master their process, those skills would have allowed me to flourish in any other call-center environment.

Pros

The pros were working from home, and the 2 weeks sales training was pretty solid, and they do have TV leads from commercials. The best leads are distributed to agents with the longest tenure.

Cons

The free leads are provided to new agents, and these are the worst leads I've ever seen. People calling about "free" life insurance from the government. FED will pay you 45% commission, since they provide all the "free garbage leads" they expect you to sell to low-income and poverty-stricken seniors. FED will charge you $400 per month to use their Back-Office & CRM platform and provide a Conservation Team designed to call all your chargebacks. They will convince you that you could make 6 figures with them and the simple truth is there are people making 100K - 300K per year but again these are only a handful of agents who started with the company. New agents will not see that kind of success.
