Pros

Free lunch, casual environment, unlimited PTO.

Cons

Lots of pointless corporate meetings (weekly meetings giving fake "awards" to coworkers) to cover up poor management and shaky business outlook. The culture of the engineering department, where I worked, was very negative. The CTO is a bully who blames and trash talks his reports while failing to manage in a coherent, transparent, and goal-oriented way. In all of my many years of working on tech teams, I've never been a part of such a toxic work environment. Unfortunately, they lost a lot of talent because of it. Honestly, with what the coronavirus has done to the restaurant industry and the already slim margins that Fooda was depending on, this company is a sinking ship.

Pros

* Free meals during shifts, which helps reduce daily food expenses. * Opportunity to take home leftover food when available. * Daily meal allowance of $10, providing flexibility in food choices. * Exposure to a variety of food vendors and cuisines. * Ability to interact with different clients and workplace environments. * Potential savings on personal grocery and meal costs due to food-related benefits.

Cons

* Management was often unprofessional and provided limited hands-on support despite high performance expectations. * Frequent micromanagement created a stressful work environment and reduced employee autonomy. * Communication from management and HR was lacking, with concerns and complaints often going unanswered. * Employees were expected to handle excessive workloads without adequate staffing or support. * Compensation did not reflect the workload and responsibilities required of the position. * Workplace policies appeared to be applied inconsistently. Employees were discouraged from socializing, while management did not appear to be held to the same standard. * The position and company culture did not match the expectations presented during the hiring process. * Employee concerns regarding workload, fairness, and workplace treatment were not addressed in a meaningful manner.
