Pros

The founders have industry expertise and set a strong vision. You get to work with smart people in a flexible environment.

Cons

Needs stronger organizational structure and a real HR. Career progression is unclear. Without established processes, mid- to senior-level leadership can negatively impacting culture or creating politics. As the company grows and investor expectations increase, the growing pains are evident. The company needs more formal systems to manage talents effectively, and maintain transparency.

Pros

Well-organized system to onboard new advisors, great partnerships with travel suppliers, fun community and low cost to join. There are many opportunities to train and attend conferences.

Cons

Over time, the focus has moved to growing the number of advisors and this has diluted the brand, in my opinion. I wish they had stayed smaller and kept the focus on recruiting the right kind of people to become advisors rather than anyone who would pay the membership. Unless you are willing to hustle like crazy or have a major network of high net worth potential clients, this is a part time job.
