Pros
The first thing you will notice when starting at Geeks is the incredible energy, pace and passion of everyone. I put this under Pros because I love that. But it can be a serious Con for you if you like a relaxed and easy job. The company is big on innovation and have created their own tools for pretty much everything. This can be overwhelming at first, especially if you already have experience with some generic tools in the market. Once I got the hang of them however it all made sense. The ones I appreciate the most are AMP and VisualSpec which are both sort of communication power tools! The projects are diverse and plenty. I’m learning something new every day from different industries and it feels great to be talking to clients and understanding their challenges and ideas. As a business analyst I feel privileged for this opportunity afforded to me by Geeks. The support and positive vibes around is just a cheery on top.
Cons
Nothing bothers me enough to write here as a con. Don’t get me wrong. It’s not perfect. But it’s better than anywhere I’ve worked or heard about before so I skip this.
