Pros

Paid training Gain experience in software development

Cons

Low pay. It is possible you get hired by a disorganized and unprofessional client. My experience with my client was a nightmare and never got put on a project. Contract lasted 6 months and then ended. Given I had to relocate for this client, I was stuck with an apartment lease in a new city AND gained absolutely no experience. Complete waste of time. This is fault of the client, however, and not Genspark. Genspark is a great company.

We're happy that GenSpark was useful to you, but very sorry to hear you did not have a stellar client experience. The amazing thing about GenSpark is that we continue to help our learners even after client placement, so if there's anything further we can do, please reach out!

Pros

Flexible program, easy to navigate, employees are friendly.

Cons

Prepare with bare minimum. If placed, and the placement doesn't continue contract, their follow through is not the best. They let you go as well. Minimal outreach to help you secure another placement for consulting. A lot of their programs are not coming through, or their marketing is not doing so well. I reached out numerous times over several years. I feel it is more market than them. Relocation was good experience; however, relocating with no guarantee of placement is not great. If I has signed a lease when relocated I would have been stuck with no way back home. Employees are very understanding; however, programs were getting cut a lot, and if you already did a program, the lack of help to place again is huge.
