Pros

Our leadership team is ethical, mission-focused, brilliant, and cares about our team, clients, and doing the right thing more than any other leadership team I have known. This comes through in everything we do from the way we invest in our team to the way we treat each other and our clients. -I appreciate the high degree of autonomy and trust everyone at every level in our organization is given upfront, in exchange for being accountable to each other and our team values. -If you are motivated to learn new skills and develop your career, there is a lot of opportunity to grow. Everyone in the company is generous with their time and knowledge sharing. Learning and development is a big part of our culture but we try to focus on developing strengths, rather than fixing weaknesses. -The hierarchy is pretty flat. You don't have to earn the right to speak to the leadership team or speak up about new ideas or challenges. -We have generous benefits, especially for a company of our size. -We work in an awesome industry with amazing clients. This is fun and rewarding work. - We have the best team. We are all different when it comes down to the details but we are super in-tune with each other's strengths and how to support one another.

Cons

Remote work is not for everyone - it requires you to be extremely self-disciplined, self-motivated, and accountable. In a lean, fast-growing company, that can feel like you always have way more to do than time to do it. You have to be able to create structure to your day, prioritize, and not get flustered or overwhelmed by knowing that there are competing priorities. It sounds easy but can be challenging in practice. Being remote, you have to be more deliberate about everything including getting out of the house, building a strong social network outside of work, and taking the initiative to communicate with colleagues. Being results-oriented means that no one will be micromanaging you to get things done. You have to be willing to speak up when you need support. I don't personally see these things as a con because there are ways to manage them, but you do have to learn how to manage them.

Pros

-1:1 growth with a direct manager is unlike any other company I've worked with, in the best way possible. You are actively encouraged to bring up new interests and ideas that appeal to you—personal and professional—which may or may not be incorporated into your work. -Vibe is unparalleled. Weekly meetings are brief and informative while also having enough fun time to bring together a very spread-out remote team. -Departments are clearly outlined with responsibilities. You are responsible for a lot in a startup-like environment; it is all laid out, documented, and very manageable. -Company well-being and direction are generally well-known. Whether it be upcoming investment deals, new company/department-wide projects, or simple revenue numbers, we as employees have a good understanding of the company as an entity.

Cons

-Need more incentives for building a long-term career. Certain departments have incentives (sales), while others are left in the dust (tech). No 401(k) match. -Compensation and performance reviews are largely vague and mysterious outside of manager 1:1s.
