Pros

Honestly, the product was decent and there were some really smart people at the ground level. If you’re early in your career and need a brand name on your resume for a year or two, you might get that. The work itself, operationally, was interesting enough. Some teammates were genuinely good people and made the day-to-day bearable.

Cons

I’ll keep this simple. I was part of a mass exit here and what I saw deserves to be on record. The HR team is large disproportionately large for what they actually deliver. What’s especially disappointing is that two particular individuals, who happen to be close favourites of the HR head, seem to have made it their personal job to report and get these Glassdoor reviews removed. Every honest review that goes up comes down suspiciously fast. That’s not a coincidence that’s organised suppression of employee voice. If you have that much time to police the internet, maybe redirect that energy toward fixing what people are actually writing about. Policy double standards were glaring. Attendance, leaves, accountability a completely different rulebook for people inside HR versus everyone else. When the people enforcing policies are exempt from them, trust collapses entirely. The separation process had no dignity. People who gave everything late nights, weekends, never said no to anything were let go in a single day with zero notice or communication. The founders appear removed from all of this, being shown a curated version of reality. Many of us tried to reach them directly. Nobody listened.

Pros

Few functional leaders are good to work with and you an actually learn from them. Candidates know about gokwik because of product depth so pitching a role is simple.

Cons

To begin with all the reviews which are mentioned for HR are totally true.. having worked in this team I can say that the team functions on favoratism only and it comes from top Recruitment function operates like BPO Hiring... person leading such a critical function doesnt have basic understanding that product companies don't operate like BPO.. all the person does is throw attitude and rude behaviour and shouting in unruly voice on the floor. HRBP's main work is only Gossip Management and nothing else thwre is no quality work that they do except for doing gossips and manipulation..they have spoilt the entire culture of the company which I heard was quite good until early 2025. I doubt if CHRO has any control left over the function

It had some but situation here is worsening day by day

Cons

HR department is real hell here. They make sure even a single policy doesn't benefit any of the employee. They do mass massacre firing They pivoted from unlimited leave to limited leave and now they pivoted to pro-rata based system where you get monthly leave accrued. Over that 1 casual and 1 healthcare leave you receive, even then you can't plan your month as healthcare leave can only be applied 2 days before. Cheap HR policies for sure. Office ambience is again poor, no cafeteria no pool/TT area, no gym . Literally nothing but still they want employees to come to office 3 days a week. Not sure what they wanna get out of it. With AI included, people expect 3 days task to be completed in half day and person doing it should take full ownership. How is person suppose to take ownership when AI is the one doing most of it.
