You’ll get a lot of responsibility quickly, largely because teams are lean and expectations are high. Fast-paced environment that forces you to learn quickly, whether you’re fully supported or not.
Cons
Compensation does not reflect the level of effort expected. Bonuses are consistently underwhelming relative to performance and are not clearly tied to individual contribution, which makes it difficult to feel incentivized. Work-life boundaries are not respected. There is an implicit expectation to be available and responsive at all hours, including nights and weekends, which creates an unsustainable environment over time.
