Pros

Some of the benefits are decent via the rewards gateway dealsonwheels

Cons

Incredibly short staffed and getting worse due to project falcon, a scheme that basically takes experts in their field and makes them a jack of all trades and master of none. There used to be a time where the company regarded colleagues, customers and profit equally, but over the last 12 months at least it’s all about profit and less a about what is right for customers. Outsourcing of customer service to faceless script readers thousands of miles from a Halfords store, causes frustration for customers, incorrect information and increased workload of colleagues because of having to deal with problem’s created by central services (India or South Africa outsourced customer service call centres) Store management constantly on beck and call of numerous WhatsApp groups, never able to escape work on “days off” or even holidays. No work life balance.

Pros

Great teamwork ethic, enjoyable work. Good opening hours over weekend and discount scheme. Cycle to work scheme very good and opportunity to progress.

Cons

Low pay considering what is expected of you. High work load at holiday seasons so therefore long hours. Often unappreciated by management, do not partake in any refit of stores. Long hours and very unappreciated.
