Pros

Hiday and Ricke isn't just another law firm. It is large enough, with approximately 50 employees, to provide excellent job security and benefits but somehow it has the feel of a family owned business. The mentality at Hiday and Ricke is all about teamwork and finding the most efficient way to get things done. I am on the complex team and while we all have our own assigned positions and responsibilities, we work together to make sure our team is producing the best results we can. I think the employees are valued and that creates a positive environment. It creates an environment where your co-workers want to build you up and not pick you apart. They have a bonus plan so if we meet our goals we make more money. The hours are flexible. I work 730 am to 4 with a 30 minute lunch so I can avoid traffic. I can take that lunch at my leisure, which is nice. There is a 401k plan, paid time off, paid holidays, monthly raffles, possible quarterly bonuses, dress code is jeans, and the pay is very competitive. I get to go to work and work with great people doing a job that I love all the while getting a nice paycheck and not having to deal with much traffic. If I do have some type of problem my manager is avaialble anytime to listen and if my problem is valid she will work with me to find a solution.

Cons

The coffee isn't very good. Otherwise there really aren't any I can think of as long as you are the type of person who goes to work to work. This is not a place to sit on Facebook all day. On the upside if you work hard it will be recognized.

Pros

Hiday & Ricke will go out of their way to utilize additional skills an employee brings to the table. If you are a person who goes above and beyond and pursues new problems and enjoy a challenge you will excel here. Upper management is accessible to all employees. Performance and salary are merit based so if you are doing a good job, it will be recognized unlike other organizations that recognize employees based on how long they have kept a chair warm. Dress code (jeans) and employee perks are very employee friendly. If you are getting your job done you are going to enjoy working here. This is not one of those firms that will suddenly demand you stay 4 hours overtime to finish that motion. You can have your life outside of your career.

Cons

Break room amenities are lacking. A keurig is available for you to bring your own brews but the base coffee offered may wake you up for reasons other than caffeine content.
