Pros

Pay was fairly decent. The medical benefits were ok too.

Cons

1) One minute late and you are in trouble 2) Must get approval to take your lunch and breaks (even salaried employees) 3) You cannot take breaks the same time as your friends because that's considered lost productivity. 4) CEO screams and yells at everyone and demoralizes you in front of others ( and this is an understatement) 5) You make a slight mistake and you get ripped a new one 6) Work environment is horrible. 7) Top management is extremely arrogant. 8) You get written up for the slightest little thing- such as have a personal conversation with someone in passing. (It's considered using your time to do something besides work). 9) You are expected to work, work, and work. There is no family life. You will not have time for your kids. 10) Nobody is treated respectfully. This is the simplified list.

Pros

The environment is healthy and comfortable. Open door policy with management is great and co workers are fun to work with. Plenty of help if needed.

Cons

No cons for the company or employees. The only cons that I see in the reviews are personal and dependent on that individual. Their comments should not reflect on the company.

Pros

Underground parking....for management employees only. Cutting edge technology.

Cons

This is - by far - the worst company I ever worked for. I'm actually embarrassed that I was an employee there! First day on the job you are greeted with the fact that you have two 10 minute breaks, a 30 minute lunch and, regardless of level, you punch in and out for work and lunch (even if you are a Manager or Director). You are also told that it is a privilege to interact with the CEO, however you should never go into his office even if the door is open. If you are invited to meet with him, you are told to bring a pad of paper and something to write with and to remain silent until addressed. Seriously? Most CEOs are smart and extraordinarily busy individuals; however they enjoy interaction with their employees. The benefits are a joke; substandard medical benefits, a minimal number of paid Holidays (less than any other company that i've ever worked for), NO 401k, you don't get a week of paid vacation until after a year of employment, and so on. However the real downfall of this company is the culture. The CEO throws temper tantrums and directs profanity-laced tirades at employees. I've never witnessed people being publicly humiliated by the CEO on regular basis until I worked here. HSI brags about having a "no politics" culture but i found the complete opposite to be true. I would never advise my worst enemy to work at this place. It was simply awful.
