Throughout my time there, I observed what felt like favoritism from management, which created an uneven and discouraging work environment.
When I went to HR to describe the situation, I was affected by a RIF a week later, which felt suspicious.
I noticed that certain managers went out of their way to give only certain employees instructions as to how to get better KPIs, to ensure they would be promoted instead of eventually laid off.
I also experienced situations and comments that came across as insensitive or non-inclusive, particularly around myself being in the LGBT community. Interactions with some members of management and HR in the office and virtually often felt lacking of empathy, which made it difficult to feel supported. This job made me feel unsafe for years.
