Pros

Nice people on some teams.

Cons

I joined the company from my previous employer, under no pressure to leave but got "attracted" to join HTG. My start date was pushed twice, assured this was standard nothing crazy. After 3 weeks I was laid off, told it was a business decision and swiftly shown the exit. I had not even unwrapped the onboarding notebook I got on my first day. This company lacks serious leadership across all departments. Low salaries, working students, we're all in this together type of culture, until they need to lay you off.

Pros

One of HTG's leadership principles is Embrace Change and Reduce Complexity, and it's something the company does well. New ideas and initiatives aren't limited to leadership. Anyone can identify opportunities for improvement and drive change. There's a strong culture of continuous improvement, and challenging existing processes is encouraged when it leads to simpler, more effective ways of working. If you have an initiative you want to spearhead and can demonstrate the impact it will have, you're generally empowered to run with it.

Cons

On the other side of things, the above can feel like an unofficial expectation for career progression. There are plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and expand your skills, but this doesn't always translate into a formal role change. The path to progression can sometimes feel unclear, with the lines between excelling in your current role and demonstrating you're ready for the next becoming blurred. That said, this is an area HTG has been actively working to make more transparent, standardized, and equitable across departments.

Pros

- Unlimited PTO for US team only - Travel

Cons

- Little to no discount for employees on platform that we sell - "Unorganized" doesn't begin to scratch the surface with them - Passive aggressive COO - 0 room for growth; no promotion plan outlined for 2 years of working there, no raise opportunities despite responsibilities expanding every quarter
