Pros

This team is low drama with reasonable hours and tolerance for flexible working times and locations (e.g. many employees would work from home when sick, waiting for home repair, or on a certain day of the week). Even grave emergencies are met with calm optimism and measured, logical problem solving. The benefits are top drawer.

Cons

Resources for new projects are limited, but when is this *not* the case?

Pros

- Really great coworkers - Flexible hours - Good if you don't want any major responsibility

Cons

- Management doesn't want to hear about your ideas—if you question anything or suggest how to make things better, you will be shot down. They will get defensive about anything that isn't working well. - HubPages is trying to be like Medium or any other fancy publisher, but they aren't. It is ruining the authenticity and original charm of the platform. It's supposed to be for "everyday experts." - Raises are few and far between. And if you ever want to make over $20 as an editor, look elsewhere. Don't let them bully you into thinking you should want to do more tasks without being compensated for them. You are worth more than that. - Everything you do is tracked. For tasks that aren't tracked on the internal system, you must keep a list of them and how long they took. That being said, it seems like it has been very easy for people to get away with doing nothing. - Management treats the team like children. No hard conversations. No minimum expectations. Everyone gets the same raise and the same bonus to prevent "unfairness." - Very high turnover. Especially during the pandemic. No attempts to make the situation any better or more comfortable. - Doesn't want to invest in the company's future—only if there will be immediate results.
