Pros

Remote company with incredible schedule flexibility True believers and encouragers of work-life balance Brilliant, visionary leadership team - without the brilliant egos Extremely likable, intelligent, collaborative and passionate employees Fair to above average pay Tech savvy; solid tools for efficient and collaborative remote work and easy and quick communication "Pay It Forward" time within your community Invested in people - both in career development opportunities and overall support of each individuals' life goals

Cons

Not necessarily a con - but the company is in high-growth mode, so some growing pains and change is to be expected and happening. Hunley's leadership team does an excellent job of keeping everyone informed and prepared.

We focus on hiring nice, smart people. As Steve Jobs is often quoted, "We don't hire smart people and tell them what to do; we hire smart people and seek to have them tell US what to do!" Frankly, in our experience, the smartest people we've ever worked with were the ones who spent the most time listening carefully to the counsel of others. Sure seems like a good methodology to follow:)

Pros

I came to Hunley from the type of place that makes you take your laptop on vacation and let me tell you, when they say they value flexibility, they mean it. I am encouraged to take time off (they have an awesome FTO policy) and have support when I do. I was able to take my daughter to her first week of school and knew I'd be covered by my team. Being able to put my family first without feeling guilty for it has been life changing. Additional pro, AMAZING benefits. They take care of their people.

Cons

Nothing of note, we're growing so there's a lot of work right now but the leadership team jumped on that right away and is working hard to hire what we need.

Pros

You will get experience with the practices and culture of a big firm background, with the access that comes with a small team. If you love Deloitte, you'll be very happy here! It's cutthroat, it's competitive, it gives you an opportunity to learn how to navigate a challenging work environment that expects high performance and quality delivery while also having access to leadership and the perks that come with a fully remote employee at a small firm. If you operate well in the gray area and don't really need clear direction, if you are comfortable being a Maverick that paves their own way, this is the place for you. And, they make sure you have everything you need in terms of technical resources!

Cons

There is management, not leadership. Rules, not mentorship. But don't worry - there is a lot of "process" in place! Only, the company will not tell you exactly what those processes are because you are so smart, you'll figure it out on your own. Until you get penalized for not doing things according to best practice. Leadership is not transparent. You will never get a direct answer. It is like working with politicians!
