Pros
It all started amazing. The people were fantastic to work with. They were capable and intelligent, and our small-but-powerful team worked together well. We had the most efficient and productive meetings, too, and our clients loved our service and outputs. I immediately fell in love with this company the moment I started, and I was fully committed to working as hard as I can for HyperPop's success. I truly thought I had found the perfect job, and I was so excited to follow the lead of our CEO.
Cons
But the honeymoon period didn't last long. In my contract with HyperPop, it says that they can fire me "with or without just cause" and "whether it's lawful or unlawful". I signed the contract because I thought I could trust them. I was naive and didn't realize how unprofessional and unethical they could get. Out of nowhere, without any warning, they fired nearly everybody, fabricating "reasons" for them to get rid of us. They offended and literally lied to our faces, and they were extremely rude about it too. They could've explained their reasons for firing us better - we all understand that startups need to pivot often. But they chose utter disrespect.
HyperPop was great until it wasn't. Its website may boast great achievements and wonderful opportunities. But it's wine laced with poison. I'm heartbroken, to be honest, because I thought HyperPop was heading towards greatness. But reality speaks for itself, and the leadership team is delusional.
Based on my experience, I do not recommend HyperPop to anybody. I wish I could, I really do. But no.
